VCE/VET Integrated Technologies Units 1 - 4

22071 Certificate II in Integrated Technologies

Course length:  2 years (four semesters)

Certificate II in Integrated technology provides a springboard into a diverse range of related industries sharing technologies with the Electro-technology industry. With additional training and experience future employment outcomes may include electronics technician, computer assembler, electronic engineering, information technology and data telecommunications.

VCE/VET Integrated Technology is part of a packaged program with students gaining additional skills and knowledge from VCE Systems Engineering, VET Electrotechnology,  VCE Maths, VCE Product Design (engineering).  This packaged program provides students with a wide exposure to the full range of careers within the electro-technology.

Students complete the following additional qualifications.

  • First Aid Level 1

                    HLTAID002 Provide Basic Emergency Life Support

  • Construction Induction Card (White Card)

                    CPCCOHS1001A Work safely in the construction industry (White card ) 

  • 22261VIC Certificate II in Electrotechnology (Pre Vocational)

Pre- requisites

Students wishing to gain entry to Units 3 & 4 must have completed Units 1 & 2, or equivalent.

CONTRIBUTION TO THE VCE

Upon successful completion of the Certificate II in Integrated Technologies students will be eligible for up to four units credit towards their VCE: two units at Units 1 and 2 level, and a Units 3 and 4 sequence.

ATAR CONTRIBUTION

Students wishing to receive a study score or an ATAR contribution for the Units 3 & 4 sequence VCE VET Integrated Technologies must undertake scored assessment  This study score can contribute directly to the ATAR, either as one of the student’s best four studies (the primary four) or as a fifth or sixth study.
