VCE/VET Electrical Industry Units 1 - 4

22261VIC  Certificate II in Electrotechnology Studies (Pre-vocational)

Length of course:  2 years

This course provides basic electrical theory and practical skills in electrical security systems, refrigeration and air conditioning trades. Students learn how operate safely in an electrical workshop, interpret electrical drawings, identify, select and use equipment to carry out general work activities.

This program provides with a wide exposure the full range of careers with in the industry as well as the necessary skills and  knowledge needed to gain an apprenticeship in the electrical trades.

Delivered on site by experienced industry trainers students will learn to work in small teams on wiring projects using small house frames contained in the workshop.

VET Electrotechnology is a packaged program with students gaining additional skills and knowledge from VCE Systems Engineering, VCE/VET Integrated Technologies, VCE Maths and VCE Product Design (Engineering).

This certificate provides basic electrical theory and practical skills and air conditioning trades. offers students the opportunity to develop their skills and knowledge across a range of electrical sectors, including electrical, electronics, refrigeration and mechanical engineering.  Students learn how operate safely in an electrical workshop, interpret electrical drawings, identify, select and use equipment to carry out general work activities.
