Box Hill Senior Secondary College values all co-curricular activities that provide practical or applied learning opportunities to students, which deepens their understanding of key concepts, skills and knowledge being developed across a student’s entire school program. Some of the activities that are offered to students are as follows:
- Year 9 Urban Experience Camp
- Year 10 Work Experience
- Sports Academy international tours and interstate tournaments
- Subject based and sports specific excursions, such as surfing or marine systems examination
- Community service projects, including coaching within local primary schools
- Industry and vocational work placement opportunities
- Certificate based courses such as CPR, First Aid, Industry “white card” and O.H. & S.
- Leadership development workshops and conferences
- Year 11 & 12 Formal
- Select Entry Champions Cup or Champions League competitions
- Whole school transition excursions including the “Amazing Race” or “1000 Steps Walk”
- Student led Clubs, including the newly introduced E-Sports Club and other lunchtime student activities
